Before you begin

An intended address and knowledge of what traffic the control affects.

Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.

Follow the steps

  1. Open IP Security and inspect current account lists.
  2. Enter the supported IP information and reason where requested.
  3. Save a narrow change and inspect its recorded result.
  4. Test intended application access from a separate safe connection.
  5. Remove obsolete entries through the supported delete action.

Check the result

The intended account rule is recorded and the relevant access behaves as expected.

If something goes wrong

Do not assume an account list controls the server's global firewall or every service. Keep a recovery route before restricting your own address.
