Before you begin

Recipient, timestamp, sender bounce and intended local/remote routing.

Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.

Follow the steps

  1. Check authoritative MX and address records.
  2. Confirm mailbox existence and intended local mail.
  3. Have the administrator compare mail-domain registration and tenant ownership.
  4. Inspect Postfix rejection/delivery and mailbox quota.
  5. Send a new controlled message and verify IMAP receipt including Spam/Junk.

Check the result

A valid recipient's new message is accepted and reaches its inbox.

If something goes wrong

Do not register intentionally remote mail locally. Never weaken unauthorized-relay rejection to accept a legitimate hosted recipient.
