Before you begin

A backup and an inventory of applications using the login.

Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.

Follow the steps

  1. Identify the full database user in Databases.
  2. Change its password through the supported action.
  3. Update private application configuration and verify connections.
  4. Before deleting a database or user, review dependencies and export required data.
  5. Inspect the result, including associated user removal shown by the form.

Check the result

Applications connect after credential changes; deletion affects the intended scope.

If something goes wrong

A reset can interrupt applications immediately. Database deletion is not troubleshooting for a temporary connection issue.
