Change a license's server IP

Correct an address or move a license without moving hosted data.

Before you begin

License ownership, password and an eligible change window.

Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.

Follow the steps

  1. Open Manage for the intended license.
  2. Choose Change server IP and review the existing address.
  3. Enter the new public IPv4, confirm password and acknowledge previous-activation deactivation.
  4. Save and review the next eligible time; customer changes are limited to once per 24 hours.
  5. Activate the intended new server normally.

Check the result

The license records the new IP and normal activation works there.

If something goes wrong

Files, databases and mail are not migrated. Previous activation stops being valid at its next license check, not an instantaneous deletion of websites.
