Upload or resume a migration backup
Resumable upload is separate from scanning and importing.
Before you begin
Eligible destination, supported archive, storage and enabled migration access.
Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.
Follow the steps
- Select the destination hosting account in cPanel Migration.
- Choose the file and start Upload backup.
- Watch received bytes; keep browser and original file available.
- When paused, use the offered resume flow with the same file and destination.
- After completion, open the saved migration and proceed to scan.
Check the result
The server records the complete upload before scanning starts.
If something goes wrong
A 403 is not necessarily session expiry. Preserve progress and report the failing request rather than disabling the WAF or restarting the entire upload.
