Before you begin

An owned hostname with correct DNS and reachable validation paths.

Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.

Follow the steps

  1. Open SSL Center and select the domain.
  2. Review DNS and routing before requesting issuance.
  3. Submit once and inspect its saved job/result.
  4. Open HTTPS and inspect the certificate's hostname and dates.
  5. Enable Force HTTPS only after HTTPS works.

Check the result

A real HTTPS request presents a valid certificate for the requested name.

If something goes wrong

Stale DNS, blocked ports and routing errors can prevent validation. Repeated requests can hit certificate-authority rate limits.
