Scan and review a cPanel archive
A scan is a compatibility review, not permission to overwrite data.
Before you begin
Completed private upload and an intended supported empty destination.
Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.
Follow the steps
- Open the migration and start scan once.
- Review detected sites, databases, mailboxes and DNS.
- Read unsupported-component, ownership and capacity findings.
- Select supported resources that fit the destination.
- Resolve blockers before proceeding.
Check the result
A reviewable import plan describes actual detected inventory.
If something goes wrong
ARCHIVE_REJECTED can indicate an unsafe or unsupported structure. Do not weaken path, symlink or ownership protections to pass a scan.
