Change or delete a mailbox
Mailbox credentials and data are separate from your panel login.
Before you begin
The intended mailbox and a backup before deletion.
Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.
Follow the steps
- Identify the full address in Email Accounts.
- Use Change password, then update mail clients.
- Use Repair only for a diagnosed mailbox issue.
- Export needed mail before deleting an address.
- Delete only the intended mailbox and inspect the result.
Check the result
The new password works or the intended deletion is recorded.
If something goes wrong
Deleting a mailbox can remove its messages. Changing the hosting-account password does not update every mailbox client.
