Before you begin

FTP enabled and available package capacity.

Use the controls offered by your installed version and account permissions. This guide describes the workflow; it does not grant additional access.

Follow the steps

  1. Create a username and strong password in FTP Accounts.
  2. Select the domain and restrict the root directory to the required path.
  3. Set the offered quota and save.
  4. Use your provider's connection information in an FTP client.
  5. Verify directory scope and remove unused credentials.

Check the result

The identity connects within its intended directory and quota.

If something goes wrong

FTP is not SSH/SFTP. Do not assume it grants a system shell; use the encrypted transport supported by your host.
