Other operating systems
This installer targets Ubuntu Server, rather than other Linux distributions or Windows.
Architectures accepted by the installer: x86-64 and ARM64 (aarch64). Validate the chosen build and package set on your target platform before production use.
Hardware & capacity
Size for the work you plan to host.
Installation floors get the software onto a server. Production sizing also needs room for your websites, mail, databases, scanning and backups.

Nameservers
Decide whether DNS stays with your existing provider or moves to your EzePanel/BIND server. Arrange registrar glue when needed.
Mail identity
If hosting mail, confirm provider mail-port policies and arrange reverse DNS (PTR) to match the intended mail identity.

Frequently asked questions
A little clarity before you begin.
Can EzePanel be installed on an existing cPanel server?
Use a separate clean server. The installer rejects existing cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk and other conflicting control-panel installations. Plan a migration instead of installing over the source server.
Does EzePanel require a fresh server?
Yes. Start with a clean supported Ubuntu Server installation and root access. The installer manages a full hosting stack; existing EzePanel installations use the update workflow.
Which Ubuntu version is supported?
The current installer accepts Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS and 22.04 LTS. Ubuntu 24.04 LTS is the preferred starting point for new deployments. Match the installer build to its release-specific qualification.
How much RAM is recommended?
The installer requires approximately 2 GB RAM and recommends 4 GB. Production workloads, mail, malware scanning, databases and concurrent PHP workers may need substantially more. Size the server for the services and accounts you intend to run.
Can I install on a VPS?
A VPS can be suitable when it provides a supported Ubuntu installation, root access, systemd, the required kernel/resource controls, sufficient capacity and the necessary network access. Confirm those capabilities with your provider.
Does EzePanel support ARM?
The installer accepts ARM64 (aarch64) as well as x86-64. Validate the selected release, package availability and hosting workflows on your target architecture before production use.
